University Stores

Each University Store has its own unique offerings, but all share the same Panther spirit. Visit Maggie & Stella's Cards & Gifts to shop a wide collection of gifts for every occasion, from locally made crafts to name brand jewelry. The Pitt Shop is our go-to destination before game day with two store locations that carry all of your Panthers tailgating essentials. When it's time to hit the books, stock up on school supplies, or buy a new computer, head to the University Store on Fifth. In addition to being Oakland's largest independent bookstore, the University Store is also an Apple-certified computer repair center and carries everything from lip balm to textbook rentals.

Maggie & Stella's Cards & Gifts

Established in 2005 and recently moved and renovated, Maggie & Stella’s is Oakland’s premiere card and gift shop located right across the quad from The University Store on Fifth.  The store was named for Margaret and Stella Stein, sisters who were the first female graduates of the University of Pittsburgh in 1898.  It offers special gifts for every occasion and offers in-store pick up for orders for your special day!

The Pitt Shop

The Pitt Shop, located a short distance from The University Store on Fifth at 3939 Forbes Avenue since 1990, has everything you need to represent Panther Nation in style. Over 3,000 newly renovated square feet of blue and gold apparel awaits! Visit our Forbes Avenue location to check out our brand new Pitt x Nike concept shop. Looking to pick up something for game day? Visit The Pitt Shop at the Pete, our second location inside the Petersen Events Center!

University Store on Fifth

The University Store on Fifth is the official store on campus, owned and operated by the University of Pittsburgh for more than 100 years. Located in the heart of campus, our goal is to make sure that our Pitt community has all of the necessary tools to succeed and enjoy its Pitt experience. The store boasts over 30,000 square feet of space filled with course materials, Pitt apparel and gifts, technology products, supplies, general reading books and services like computer repair, Computing Software Services (CSSD), and the Center for Creativity.
